The director of the Director of the Federal Agency for Fisheries of the Russian Federation, Andrey Anatolievich Krainiy, accompanied by the Regional Minister for Environmental, Rural and Marine Affairs of the Spanish Embassy in Mosco, José Luis Paz visited the Port of Vigo this morning.
The Russian delegation began its visit at the Lonja de Berbés at 6 o’clock. They were accompanied by environmental and fishing experts and the press department at the APV reported that they found the volume of work and activity incessant but were intrigued by the wild salmon market. The Russian delegation expressed a desire to establish a working relationship with the Port of Vigo and some ports in Russia are interested in introducing a system similar to Vigo’s into their own fish markets. Andrey Krainiy held several meetings with various businesses and ship owners from the fishing industry that showed an interest in importing fish obtained in the most remote areas of Russia.
